We're sad...

... about our friends to the east, near New Orleans and all who have lost their homes and jobs due to that evil Gustav. And just thinking about all the people in the Carribean who have lost their lives makes us want to cry.

Here we are, reflecting on how lucky us poochies are to have a home (with AC), and feeling so bad for those who don't:

Well, I should saying Paris and I are in a reflective, prayerful mood.

Lilly has been spending her Labor Day holiday drinking tequila and cursing at the neighborhood kids who walk by!

Give it up Lilly. Anyhoo, here are two great places to donate to those doggies in need (and the wonderful people who help them):

Yes I'm a bit concerned about my Bedlington pal Talyn in Gulfport who was hit with Katrina 3 years ago. From the look of the storm I'm sure he left town this time!

Thanks for the links Mack. We are glad Gustav wasn't as bad as they thought he'd be. He's a tropical storm now. The big bullet dodged. Still will have problms of course, but wasn't the HUGE one they thought it might be. We are thankful for that.

Mom says thanx for the link for the TX collar!

Y'all be careful. You may get som weather too.

We hate hurricanes! They are so very destructive! Our hearts go out to all of those who are in Gustav's way or any hurricane for that matter! They're just awful!

Love ya lots,

We complein about our weather here in the UK all the time, but we never get hurricanes or tornados etc, we should thank our lucky stars. All those affected are in our thoughts and prayers, the news is covering it here and it's terrible.
I can imagine Lilly in a rocking chair on a porch waving a stick at any kids who dare to stray within 100 feet of her.. permanently drunk and grouchy.. Hope my skinsister Lilli doesn't grow up like her namesake hahaha

Hi Mack,

Thanks for the compliment on the sofa. Red really is my color - that's why I told my mom to buy that couch.

Here in Alabama we got just the easternmost edge of the storm. I was happy to learn that they had a special animal shelter set up too so people who had to evacuate could know their pets were safe too (since most shelters don't allow animals).
