Well helluuuuuuuu efurrybody!! and welcome to another addition of What's Cooking with me, Paris Rain, AKA Betty Cocker.
This week we will be cooking a recipe especially for us; It's Peanut Butter and Banana K-9 cookies.
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup mashed banana
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten, for brushing
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- Stir together the egg, peanut butter, banana, and honey in a medium bowl; blend thoroughly. Stir in the flour and wheat germ; mix well. Turn dough out onto a floured board and roll to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes with a cookie cutter, place on prepared baking sheet, and brush tops with egg white.
- Bake biscuits in preheated oven until dried and golden brown, about 30 minutes, depending on size. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.

First thing you must do is get someone with thumbs to help you. I keep asking for thumbs for Christmas, but no luck yet.
Ok, next
Gather your ingredients
Mix thoroughly...
...and roll out dough. Have your helper with thumb apply the egg white over the top
Look how wonderfully these were cut. **(NOT)**
The two on the right are gonna be Mack's
I think he can smell the raw cookies. Ewwwwww GROSS
Be patient while they cook - it's worth the wait.
Guess who gets the first cookie!!!
Tia Lilly was so quick grabbing her cookie, Mom couldn't press the flashy beast fast enough!!
Mack approves (big surprise)
More please!
Can you believe mom says we have to share?? (Ugh I hate that word). Aussie Shepherd cuzzin Sheila even gets some.

That is super wonderful effort to do for your pet... I hope I can also cook for my rabbits however they prefer fresh fruits and vegetables. Do you have any idea how much they can eat in their rabbit hutches? I even decided to come up with vegetable garden to meet their demands.
You are quite the Domestic Goddess, Paris Rain! Those treats look super delicious! It is always nice when you have the right kitchen tools and mom has a VERY nice mixer.

Hi Mack! Hi Betty! Wow we are so behind - but boy we came back to a good post! We are of course not into doggie treats but our mom always wants to make some for our doggie cousins. These sound perfect!
This recipe looks easy and delicious! Did you see the Pet Blogs United post the other day? Oskar and them are thinking of compiling a cookbook of pet recipes to sell as a fundraiser for charity. You should submit this!
Thanks for the special birthday wishes you left on my blog for Michael. Your kind words meant a lot to him!
I'm drooling. mmmmmm
If we could read a map we would be right over. Hold some of those treats high. Maybe we could sniff our way over.
