Pee is for Paris

I think Blondage has set a new record. Most pee-pee on a new floor. (Maybe I ought to enter her in Mango Minster)??

We knew Cocker Spaniels had a "reputation" for liking to potty inside occasionally, but Miss Thing has taken it to new heights!

And, okay, I'll admit that when I smell her stainage, I like to follow suit. My bad.

Mom has seen this advertised on TV and wondered if it would do any good:
So far mom has been moderately successful in getting Pee-Dog to go in one spot on some newspapers. Does anybody out there have any advice?? If you do, for the love of dog would you please share??!? Dad has been saying some major HBO words lately and mom is super tired of mopping all the time!

On a much brighter note, we want to dedicate this funny from LOLdogs to our new friends, those kissa-bull Houston pibbles.

Hope everybody has a great weekend!

Do you know Miss Pearl the pug? Apparently she has been suffering from the same behaviors and her mom seems to have come up with a strategy that is showing some success.

Not sure what to suggest, but has she been checked for a urinary infection? Dakota had issues when she was suffering from her Cushing's. Mom would put a plastic tarp on the floor, then some plastic lined pee pee pads and then newspapers. That way if Dakota wet overnight, she just had to scoop up all the pads and papers and toss. No more stains on the floor.

Love that backpacking parent.

Hmmm, HBO words. That is bad. We have no idea, except to try to puppy pads. That may help to get her to go in the same spot, at least.

We has heard about them potty pads, but Mum reckons anything that tells us it 'ok' to go potty inside, is just going backwards and not forwards. First thing to do is make sure she not got an infection or nothin, then get rid of the smells with a good biological cleaner, cos you know how much we dogs love smells! hehe!
Then if it were me doing it Mum said she would go right back to basics, treating me as if I was a puppy again, getting potty breaks after every meal and drink and praise when Miss thing goes in the right spot.
I guess...

Mommy uses lots of Nature's Miracle around here, as Mack has "accidents" sometimes. It works great. I use wee-wee pads, and I only use them if I can't go outside.

Hi Mack! Cute pictures!! Hmm...as far as advice goes, maybe try puppy pads...?? Or lots of outside potty breaks outside! Good luck!-Hec and Lola

We only have that problem if we can't get outside in time...like if the door is closed and the pinkies are asleep. Of course only the girls do this.
Has Paris got access to outside..Have you got a doggy door?
Good luck in solving the problem. Wish we could be of more help.

I guess I can't give you a good advice since I pee inside all the time but in my defense I have to say I know where I have to do it!
My grandma laughs a lot when I am out in the patio and then suddenly I run inside to go to pee in my bathroom!
I hope your Mom finds a good solution!

I would say that Pee-pee-Paris has to stay in a crate whilst the pinkies are away. Whilst the Pinkies are home, she has to be let out immediately after eating and upon waking up, and then every 2 hours when she is awake. I would be real strict about this as she is an adult and should "get it." Although she is blonde...... She should have a physical first. It's got to be back to square one with housebreaking. Also...consistency is key. We're not advocates of ritual crating. but I think it's needed here.I would praise the heck out of her when she pees outside(pinkies have to go outside too) and likewise slip-ups get punished...say "NO!...You go potty outside!" And then the pinkies take her outside. Keep repeating(calmly now)..go potty outside. It has to be a team(Paris & pinkie) effort. Love, Josie

All I can think is to check for a UTI first and then try that potty pad thing. Is she an attention pee-er?

Hi those mat things could work, an ordinary coconut mat does the same thing it is rubber backed so I can swill it down. I leave one outside, and any foster dogs or pups I put out and they go on it.As Jose says you have to put them out quite often and lots of happy praise when she goes outside and stern no, when its done inside. Put her out anyway even if its to late, and ignore her for a while.

Sounds like Paris needs to go back to basics again. At least, that's what LS usually put me through when I create the same mess. But in my defense, I do it when she neglects me for too long.

Has she been checked for a urinary infection? Or is there something new (like a new person in the house) that she may be "objecting" to? Poor girl. And poor you! I hope you sort something out soon.

One of our Labs peed in the house 23 times her first day with us. Wish I knew what turned her around, but it seemed to just be time and patience.

Awesome picture!

Hi sweetie! I stay in a crate while mom is at work. If she is gone one minute too long, I refuse to HOLD it longer than needed. She needs to hurry up with workand come home sooner!! I will pee pee in the house if I am not taken outside when I ask. I figure I am polite and ask, they ignore me, they get pee pee!!!

What funny funnies. That's like the chief when she helped with Anna's 9 pups.

Anywoos. About pee-pee problems - what stops us in our tracks it's the Chief's deafening yelp ... 'STOOOOPPPP!!!' seems to work on us lot. We get startled we scuttle off to a place where she won't protest. We've since learnt that pee-ing on grass is good.
