I am in more trouble than ever before...

Well, I REALLY did a bad thing now. Mom says this is way worse than when I tore her entire sofa up in a day.

And of course I am grounded big time. Mom says indefinitely. Or till we get a big, tall, privacy fence.

Well to make a long story short, I bit my 15 year old next door neighbor. He was climbing over his fence to come into his back yard and he put his hand (a whole 2 inches) on my side of the fence. I can jump like 4 feet in the air and that was a total shock to him (and his mother who is a policeman lady!).

Mom had to make a mad dash to the vet's last night to get my shot records to prove to his mom I didn't have rabies. So mom went next door to the policeman lady's house to give her my records and when she saw the boy's bleeding hand she started to cry!

Now I didn't bite him that hard, and I was just trying to get him to play with me, but mom says that makes no difference.

So last night I said bye-bye (as did Paris and Tia Lilly)to the doggy door. Mom put the lock on it and said it's not coming off till we get a taller fence. So she's having to let us out when we need to do bidness.
I can tell mom is mad at me still this morning because she didn't ask me to kiss her (I always refuse). She is all in a huff about getting all our shot records in order and is grumbling under her breath about how much a new fence is gonna cost her.
She says I should just feel lucky that the policeman lady didn't insist I go into quarantine. I don't know what that means but it doesn't sound good.

Well, friends, please don't forget about me when I am grounded from blogging. And most importantly don't believe anything my sisters say about me!

Sheesh, Mack, get a grip on yourself. What were ya thinking? There are rules, you know (although teenage humans do sometimes look like they need to be bit).

Send Paris and Lilly to calm your mom down and then make super cute face at her and wiggle your bottom.

Slobbers,
Mango

Oh no....OK, here's what you need to do. Snuggle, lots of snuggling. Cute faces...big eyes...and for dogsake listen to everything she says!!! At least for a little while, OK? if all else fails I'll fly on over and break you out!

Lots of Loving Licks, your Ruby

Oh no no NO, Mack! You really blew it this time, guy! I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles.

If only you couldn't jump so high.

If only his hand had stayed on his OWN side of the yard.

Maybe you should give your mom kisses even if she doesn't ask for them for a few days. Lay low for awhile, okay?

Mack, it's hard to tell the difference between a teenager and a snack sometimes, but we all have to learn the difference sooner or later. I'm sorry your mom is mad at you. Maybe tomorrow will be a happier day!

Oh Mack, you need to think before you act - please be careful. But at the same time what is the matter with that 15 year old anyway? Doesn't he know what a gate is for?

And Mr. Mack and your Mom, you guys have both been naughty. Mom just went to the door to water her flowers and found a box there from Texas - so nice and so thoughtful - you shouldn't have. Thank you and we will post about it too.

Oh Mackie, I'm so sorry about your troubles. You are a dog and you just reacted like a dog. You were just being protective. Biting is baaaaad, but I understand why it happened. A higher fence will be a great thing. Stay in touch. Love, Josie, the ACD in

Oh no, dude. Good thing your neighbor is a nice human. But you'll give your mom an ulcer pulling these stunts.

And I bet you get cut off from the treats! AHHH! Quick... do something Good Boy! It'll take a lot to get back into mom's good graces. Good luck.

Hi Mack!
So sorry to hear about what happened. It is hard to be misunderstood - I know you were just trying to play... Hope things settle down at your house soon, and maybe your mom will warm up to the idea of a taller fence!

Poor Mack! (and poor Mack's mom!) We hope that your mom doesn't stay mad at you too long. and we are very glad that your neighbor's mom didn't want to put you in quarantine. Perhaps the neighbor feels bad about the boy trying to climb your fence? Hope you give your mom lots of snuggles so she forgives you... even if you don't like snuggling! Parents really do!

Oh Mack...hope you'll be on your best behaviour for now. To be fair to you, that boy has no business putting his hand over your side of the fence though.

Oh no Mackster! Sorry people do not like you behaving like a dog. Hope you get that big fence up soon so you are all safe.

Oh no, Mack. I think that is one of the reasons mine were never allowed in yard alone, because Nanuchy (my terrorX) would have done the exact same thing. You were just protection your yard and the boy should have known better than to jump the fence.

Hope everything settles down soon. Hugs to everyone.

Oh Mack. That's why we don't have a dog door. Dogs and fences and neighbors - stuff happens. Your mom is doing all the right things. You are one lucky dog!!!

Wow, we would be in trouble too. However, Essex would just bark and Deacon would have licked the boy to death.

Crikey Mack, we're so relieved it didn't end as badly as it could have. Thank goodness the policeman lady was reasonable. That kind of thing could happen to any of us. Sounds like you were protecting your property.
Take care buddy.

Hey Paris! You should try agilities. It is really fun. Of course you might have to go to shorty dog agilies like my pal Dallas.

He was OK with us big guys, but it was a pain because we had to lower all the jumps whenever he was practicing.

Kisses,
Dexter

Oh No Mackie!! You got yourself in some big trouble now. Toby bit Mommy's nephew the first time he saw Jason because he put his hand over the fence. Nobody wanted to come near him for a while until they realized he thought Jason was gonna hurt Mommy. Oh Mackie...we gots a really high fence at my house so if you want to run away from home or you Mom wants to send you off for awhile you could come stay with us.

I still love you and I know your Mom still does but you better hide out and play it cool for awhile.

hmm probably shouldn't have had his hand in your property or you would have never been able to bite him. What was he doing climbing over his own fence for? Don't they have a gate. Sounds kind of suspicious to us.

Gee Mack been there an done the same. cept here we usually gets shot an not wiv a needle, seems its bad, bad, bad to touch humans with your pearly whites. I was just jumping about all exited and my tooth made contact. Buts mack, if his hand was only just on your fence how you bite him, hmmm, bad and clever dog.
